St James's: Statement of Care

Thank you for visiting St James's Online. The safety of all those that visit, live and work in our community remains of utmost importance and we ask that you always respect others. We appreciate this is not the easiest of times and want to assure you that we have introduced measures to ensure you can safely enjoy spending time in our neighbourhood, and we will continue to carefully monitor the Government’s public health guidance.

Most of the shops and businesses in our Central London neighbourhood are now open, a full list of which can be found at the end of this article. However please take into consideration there are updated requirements for visiting these destinations, including:

- Please ensure you are wearing a face covering in shops and restaurants (those sat eating and drinking can remove to do so)

- No more than a group of six are allowed

- Restaurants and hospitality businesses will no longer be open past 10pm. You can still support our neighbourhood by visiting earlier in the day, and also by ordering delivery to your home. Please also find our takeaway guide and al fresco dining guide for inspiration

- There is now table service only in restaurants and bars. If possible, why not book in advance to avoid disappointment

We want to ensure those that visit us can do so happily, and so we have continued to maintain measures to make your time as comfortable as possible. These include:

- Increased cleaning across our destination to keep the streets as sanitary as possible

- Numerous hand sanitisation and hand washing stations will be located on the streets

- We are working with Westminster City Council to widen pavements to reduce traffic and facilitate social distancing where possible along the length of Regent Street - from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly Circus, and along Piccadilly south side – from Regent Street to St James’s Street

- Supporting the implementation of queuing system to access stores

- Installation of additional bike storage

We urge you to follow government guidelines to enjoy visiting St James’s safely and encourage you to be considerate of others.

Ahead of your visit:

Please check directly with the businesses listed below for guidance on their specific opening hours when planning your visit.
