Speakers

Amanda Pirie is a BASI trainer, Arc'teryx ambassador, and former British number one with 20 years of instructing knowledge (including coaching the GB Paralympic team to seven medals in PyeongChang). Her talk will lean on her years of ski racing experience, as well as educating on the latest ski instruction techniques.

Gethin Davies, 29, is a Captain within the British Army’s Royal Gurkha Rifles. A military mountain guide and passionate alpinist, he has climbed a number of Himalayan giants; Everest, Manaslu and Ama Dablam to name a few. He is the expedition leader of the British Army’s 2021 Himalayan expedition, which focuses on climbing and skiing new lines on unclimbed peaks. He will share his experiences of expedition ideation, and provide unique insight on his plans for the year ahead.

Jim Stewart is the original founder and ‘cook' of Butta wax. Jim has over 15 years ski tech experience, from workshops in and around the french alps, to world class events such as ‘Air and Style’ where Jim is flown round the world to take care of the Athletes equipment.

Zack Goodall has been waxing skis and boards alongside Jim and the Butta crew since 2016 and also running workshops and leading Live tech talk demos at events such as London Ski Show.
