The Josephine Hart Poetry Hour: Poetry of the Great War

To celebrate the centenary of Armistice Day 1918, leading actors will read from the poems of Rupert Brooke, Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon, amongst others, giving voice to the humanity, loss and sufferings of the Great War.

The inaugural Mayfair Times 'Mayfair & St James's Literary Festival' will take place this October across some of the area's most illustrious and historic venues. This is one of the events celebrating rich literary history happening in St James’s.

To celebrate the centenary of Armistice Day 1918, leading actors will read from the poems of Rupert Brooke, Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon, amongst others, giving voice to the humanity, loss and sufferings of the Great War.
Cast and directed by Shevaun Wilder and in partnership with the charity ‘Style for Soldiers’. Present-day soldier-poets will recite poems about their experience of war.

The event will be held at St James’s Church on the 18th of October, between 1pm and 2.15pm.
