John Brenton was born in Plymouth and has painted continually in and around his native Cornwall since graduating from art college in the 1980s. Predominantly a landscape painter John works en plein air, drawing on the dramatic panoramas of the Cornish coast for inspiration. His fresh elemental studies of sand and sea have already attracted a large following in Cornwall and across the UK.
