The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest annual open-submission show of contemporary art, showcasing work from internationally renowned artists and gifted new talent.
This year, renowned artist Grayson Perry coordinates the show’s 250th anniversary, with the theme “Art Made Now”. The theme celebrates what Perry expresses as “the diversity of art being made in this moment” as well as the legacy the exhibition itself. The artist along with his committee of RA members, have handpicked over 1,300 pieces in a plethora of mediums to display.
Most of the art displayed will also be on sale to help raise money for the Academy’s non-profit making activities, such as the Royal Academy Schools.
“Art Made Now” will be open to visitors from 12 June to 19 August 2018
