9-14th May: Fortnum & Mason’s The Art of the Exceptional: A Jubilee Celebration of Makers
Explore a series of exhibitions showcasing the work of Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST)-supported makers, culminating in the creation of a one-off hamper filled with handcrafted items. A true celebration of excellence in craftsmanship, this hamper is the crowning moment at the end of a series of four exhibitions, running at Fortnum & Mason’s Piccadilly store until June.

9-14th May: The John Smedley Craft Prize Exhibition
In 1784, John Smedley made a conscious decision to produce artisanal garments, made with only the finest yarns and craft skills. This is a legacy which continues to this day and forms the inspiration for The John Smedley Craft Prize in partnership with QEST which seeks to inspire and nurture British craftspeople who have honed exceptional skills across any discipline using traditional techniques. Visit John Smedley on Jermyn Street during London Craft Week to see the stunning work of the 2022 Craft Prize Winner, Zoë Wilson. Plan your visit on 12th May for a drinks reception to celebrate Wilson’s new collection.

9-15th May: Joséphine de Staël in Collaboration with Floris
Inspired by Floris’ floral perfumes, Joséphine de Staël presents a fine jewellery collection handcrafted using the ancient techniques of lost-wax casting and vitreous enamel. This exhibition focuses around a contemporary interpretation of a Parisian Art Nouveau jewel to bring Floris’ perfumes to life. Plan your visit to uncover these hand-sculpted jewels, cast in silver and either gold-plated or enamelled, using light and colour to celebrate the floral world.
