The name Wilton’s has been tied to oysters in London since 1742, where it was first opened as a shellfish-mongers. Today, the institution remains close to its core with its current Jermyn Street restaurant having stood the test of time since 1984.
From March, oyster afficionados, or those just curious, are in for a treat. Wilton’s, the best in the business, will be hosting a hands-on masterclass series designed to bust the myths surrounding oysters (is it true you should only eat oysters in months ending in ‘r’?). Tomasso Sciuro, the in-house expert, and team will guide you through the opening and eating of oysters as well as sharing hints and tricks about the health benefits of the humble oyster.
Starting at 6pm on select Mondays, enjoy an informal talk, and sample a dozen delightful seasonal oysters. For March and April, you will be invited to sample rock and native oysters, served alongside a glass of Champagne and two glasses of white. What could be more perfect?
Wilton’s Oyster Masterclasses will be taking place on the 2nd and 16th March, and the 6th and 20th April 2020. The session is from 6-8pm and costs £85.00 per person. Alternatively, you can opt to book a gift voucher valid for 12 months. Snap up a place here
