On Wednesday 18th March, spend an evening discussing the powerful link between mental health and the outdoor world. The discussion will be led by guest speaker and Arc’teryx Ambassador, Rob Ferguson, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
The first in a series of events for 2020 opening the conversation on mental health, the evening will focus on why the outdoors ‘works’ for us. Share stories of adventure, no matter how big or small, with likeminded people at the Arc’teryx Piccadilly store in the heart of central London.
Rob’s talk promises to be equal parts interesting and inspiring, and event attendees will also be invited to participate in the Arc’teryx Piccadilly spring Summit challenge. This six-minute challenge takes place in The Altitude Centre’s training chamber, simulating 2,710m altitude (15% oxygen).
Offering participants the chance to win an Arc’teryx Nuclei FL Jacket, a 3-month supply of TENZING, and a free consultation at The Altitude Centre, you will be tasked with carrying a weighted Arc’teryx Alpha 45L backpack (based on your unique power:weight ratio), and taking on a standing-start treadmill ascent for six minutes. The participant reaching the highest altitude in six minutes at the end of March will win.
The Arc’teryx Piccadilly mental health talk will take place on Wednesday 18thMarch at 7.30pm. Register for your ticket here. The Arc’teryx Piccadilly summit challenge is live until the 31st March. Find out more here.
