Owner Sophie Hudson recalls being inspired by the quality of the tearooms she and her boyfriend Simon would visit in the country. The wholesomeness, the care and attention that goes every handmade touch.
Urban Tea Rooms’ first (and for now its only) location opened in Soho’s Kingly Street four years ago. The expansion is a slow one - Hudson didn’t want to grow until the time and place was right.
The new location in St James’s is still very much in the planning stages, but with a much longer counter space, we know we can expect a broader menu. The same homemade sandwiches and quiche, loose leaf teas and Allpress coffee that made Urban Tea Rooms in Soho such a success are soon en route to St James’s Market.
Urban Tea Rooms will open doors spring 2017.
